South of The Border South Carolina

Since fireworks are illegal in North Carolina, we had to drive 3 hours to the lesser of the Carolinas, South Carolina. South of the Border is legendary because about a hundred miles out on I-95, strange billboards featuring a character named Pedro attempt to lure you to this tourist track. being from north carolina, i definitely know a thing or two about "south of the border." my family and i used to go down there on the 4th of july to watch fireworks, but one year, we just brought them up from SC and lit them in our cul-de-sac at 12:30am.
